Brakeless Guides
A run in Brakeless crosses eleven worlds, and every one of them kills you differently. The city punishes drivers who sit between lanes, the bridge sends traffic straight at you, the forest has no traffic at all and nothing in it ever moves out of your way, and past 10,000 metres the road falls into a black hole and never comes out. These guides take them one at a time: what you are looking at, what is about to hit you, and how to get through it at speeds that only ever go up.
New to the game? Start with How to Play for the controls and rules, then read the strategy guide for the habits that separate a 2,000 m run from a 10,000 m one. The scene guides follow the order you drive them in, and each 2026 scene has a 2126 counterpart a century further down the same road.

Scene guides: 2026
- 0 m City Center Four lanes of same-direction traffic, Rush Hour at 500 m and the first roadworks.
- 1,000 m The Bridge Eight lanes over the sea, half of them oncoming.
- 2,000 m Suburbia A narrow two-way street, junctions, cyclists and crossings.
- 3,000 m Countryside Tractors to overtake into oncoming traffic, and sheep on the road.
- 4,000 m The Forest The road ends: trees and lakes at top speed.
- 5,000 m The Void Open space, an asteroid storm, and a wormhole at the far end.
Scene guides: 2126 and beyond
- 6,000 m Metropolis 2126 The old city street a century on: hover traffic, holograms and drones.
- 7,000 m Neon Skyway The bridge reborn as a swaying ribbon of light with a plasma median.
- 8,000 m Suburbia 2126 Hoverboards, robot pedestrians and a glowing junction grid.
- 9,000 m Agri-Grid 2126 Grow-light fields, driverless harvesters and robo-grazer herds.
- 10,000 m + Black Hole The endless finale, where close calls finally pay in metres.
The real world behind the game
- PHYSICS Wormholes, Time Travel & Black Holes How much of the game's final third is real physics.
- PHYSICS Why You Can't Drive Without Brakes Reaction time, braking distance and why speed hurts twice.
- HISTORY When Brakes Fail From the first fail-safe air brake to runaway ramps and automatic braking.
- HISTORY A Brief History of Time Travel Thirteen centuries of forward-only time travel stories, graded by physics.
