This page explains what information is (and is not) collected when you play Brakeless, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: you can always play as a guest, and guest play sends nothing about you to our server; game progress lives in your own browser. If you choose to sign in for the global leaderboard, we store the minimum needed to run it — described below — and you can delete it at any time. Where ads are shown, advertising partners such as Google may use cookies as described below.

Information the game stores on your device

Brakeless uses your browser's local storage to save your game progress: your best distance, lifetime distance driven, unlocked and selected car skins, achievements, and audio (mute) preferences. This data:

• contains no personal information;
• is not read or collected by us — it exists only so the game works for you;
• can be erased at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.

Optional sign-in and the global leaderboard

Playing never requires an account. Signing in with Google is optional and does exactly one thing: it lets your runs count on the global weekly leaderboard. If you sign in, our server stores:

• your Google account's technical identifier (the "subject" id) — not your email address and not your name, neither of which we request or receive beyond the sign-in screen itself;
• the driver name you choose (shown publicly on the leaderboard);
• your runs: distance scored, when each run started and ended, and technical validation data used to keep the board fair (a run you quit mid-drive is counted up to the distance already driven).

Signing in sets one essential cookie that keeps you signed in on this site. It is not used for advertising or tracking and is not shared with anyone.

You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account — the button is on the in-game SCORES screen, under the MY STATS tab. Deletion removes your account, your runs and your leaderboard entries from our server immediately.

Advertising and cookies

This website uses (or may use) Google AdSense to display advertising. Please note:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any personalized advertising cookies are set, in line with the GDPR and Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can decline personalized ads and still play the game.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting, cookie-free service that reports aggregate traffic (page views, countries, browsers). It does not profile you, does not use cookies or local storage, and does not track you across other sites. The game itself contains no other analytics or tracking code.

Children's privacy

Brakeless is a general-audience arcade game. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Where ads are served to audiences that may include children, ad personalization is handled by the ad provider in accordance with its policies and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles data changes — for example, if analytics or new ad partners are added — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.
